How does the UV-C FiltAir Air Purifier work?
This is the UV-C FiltAir Air Purifier:
The device performs a mechanical separation in the first phase of the operation: the air filter removes solid sources of infection, and in the second phase the UV-C radiation kills pathogens that get through the filter. UV-C radiation is within the short wavelengths of natural light. When used correctly, it acts as a safe and effective disinfectant because the short wavelengths of ultraviolet rays at 253.7 nm damage the pathogens' DNA preventing them from being able to infect. The bacteria, viruses and mold spores exposed to UV-C radiation die. Other pathogens require different doses of UV-C light, but by using the right UV-C light source, a sterilization rate of 99.9% can be achieved.
