Adjustment of balanced ventilation
When commissioning is carried out, any errors during the installation period will be detected and can be corrected. Common faults include duct blockages, incorrect dimensions, uninstalled parts and so on.
Why perform an airflow adjustment?
It is important to carry out a balancing test when the ventilation system is new or any changes have been made. If not, the air volumes are below and above the design values and thus do not meet the requirements for fresh air yield in all rooms. In addition, there will be rooms that have too much airflow and thus too high a noise level. If there is too little or no air exchange, the building structure itself can be damaged.
At AVAS, we always carry out regulation in accordance with proportional method.
The propositional method
The proportional method is based on the principle that the ratio between the air volumes in two branch ducts remains constant, even if you change the air volume in the main duct leading to these branches.
The result
The method involves adjusting all valves and dampers so that the ratio is the same for everyone. The total airflow is then changed to the design value, which results in all valves having the design value.
The theory behind the methods
The theory is that an increase in the total airflow will be distributed proportionally to all valves. This assumes that you do not regulate with too low a total airflow.
At AVAS, we always carry out regulation in accordance with proportional method.
